Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites, or other industrial locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to transportation regulations. Candidates with skills in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and freight handling will be highly valued.
Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring secure transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members regarding schedules and delivery details.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and routine maintenance as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition.
- Operate additional heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation at all times.
Skills
- Valid DZ license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, especially with dump trucks or heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented mindset.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel.
