Taste of Home by TPFU Food is a fast-growing Indian restaurant focused on serving fresh, authentic meals with exceptional speed and quality. We specialize in tiffins, curries, rice bowls, Indian breads, and meal subscriptions, with a goal of delivering restaurant-quality food in under a minute.
We're looking for energetic, hardworking team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities Kitchen Duties
- Prepare and cook fresh Indian breads, including paranthas.
- Assist with food preparation, chopping vegetables, portioning, and kitchen setup.
- Refill and maintain the bain marie throughout service.
- Prepare ingredients for the next day's production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist chefs with daily kitchen operations.
Front Counter Duties
- Welcome customers with a friendly attitude.
- Take customer orders accurately.
- Serve meals quickly and efficiently.
- Process cash, debit, and credit card payments.
- Package takeaway orders neatly.
- Help maintain a clean dining and front service area.
- Answer basic customer questions about the menu.
Requirements Must Have
- Experience preparing Indian paranthas.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred (Strong Asset)
- Experience operating a tandoor (Tandoori Roti, Naan, Kulcha, etc.).
- Experience in an Indian restaurant.
- Basic knowledge of Punjabi or Hindi (an asset but not required).
- Food Handler Certification (preferred).
