Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer to join our team in Canada. This role is vital in maintaining and enhancing our quality standards to ensure the delivery of top-tier products that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 Rev D, NADCAP, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, review, and control quality procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and document control processes.
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate internal audits; support customer, certification, regulatory, and NADCAP audits.
- Lead CAPA activities, non-conformance investigations, Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Why, FMEA), and verify corrective action effectiveness.
- Administer the calibration system, ensuring all measuring and test equipment is calibrated, traceable, and compliant.
- Perform contract review to ensure customer quality, regulatory, and technical requirements are identified, reviewed, and effectively flowed down.
- Prepare, review, and maintain customer quality documentation for Nuclear customers , Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Certificates of Conformance (CoC), AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), inspection reports, manufacturing records, and traceability documentation.
- Support product qualification, source inspections, customer witness inspections, and special process compliance.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and configuration management activities to ensure proper implementation and document control.
- Support Supplier Quality activities, including supplier qualification, supplier audits, supplier corrective actions, Approved Supplier List (ASL) maintenance, and supplier performance monitoring.
- Promote and monitor Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, product safety, and product traceability requirements throughout manufacturing.
- Monitor quality KPIs, audit performance, customer complaints, supplier performance, and QMS effectiveness; support Management Review meetings.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives while providing QMS training and guidance across the organization.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Production, and Inspection to ensure compliance with customer and aerospace quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 Rev D, NADCAP, AS9102, ISO 9001, and aerospace customer requirements.
- Experience with CAPA, RCCA, FMEA, calibration control, contract review, supplier quality, ASL management, ECR/ECO, configuration management, and document control.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, customer purchase orders, and technical requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/QMS software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- AS9100 Internal Auditor certification is an added advantage.
