Starting pay is applicable for experienced candidates only.
We are a local farm specializing in locally grown meat, dairy, and produce, and we process our own meat and poultry on site. Our team is looking for a hard-working, sales-driven Sales Manager who is passionate about farm-to-table food, natural products, and exceptional customer service.
This position requires working in the butcher storefront and managing day-to-day retail operations. We’re looking for a dynamic, dependable leader with strong sales ability, excellent customer interaction skills, and the ability to motivate a team while maintaining a high-performing retail environment.
This is a full-time leadership role responsible for driving store sales, managing staff, and ensuring an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
Strong product sales skills are essential. Meat knowledge is a strong advantage.
Fluent English is required.
Requirements
- Drive store sales to meet and exceed performance targets
- Lead and manage the store team, providing training, support, and daily direction
- Engage directly with customers to promote and sell meat, poultry, and grocery products
- Confidently upsell sale items, specialty products, and featured farm items
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Operate the cash register when needed, handle transactions, and ensure accurate till counts
- Assist with retail and wholesale order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and preparing orders
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing storefront with accurate signage and product displays
- Weigh, package, label, and price meat and grocery items when required
- Monitor product quality and freshness, performing routine checks and maintaining standards
- Ensure food safety and sanitation procedures are strictly followed
Skills & Experience Strong sales skills and confidence recommending products to customers Leadership or supervisory experience in retail is preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and lead a team Comfortable working with raw meat in a food retail environment Experience in butcher shops, grocery stores, or food retail is an asset Requirements Ability to stand or walk for long periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in cold environments Reliable attendance and punctuality Strong time management and problem-solving skills Basic math and cash handling ability Reliable transportation Physical Demands This role requires standing, walking, talking with customers, lifting products, and working in a fast-paced retail environment for extended periods.
