Description: We are seeking a hands-on leader to serve as the QA Manager, with full accountability for the Quality Assurance team for an open position. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day priorities, including review of testing and production data for raw material and finished product release, the oversite of GMP/cGMP compliance, deviations, and investigations. The QA Manager will ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant operating environment aligned with the company objectives. The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Director of Quality.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Minimum starting Salary Rate: $90,000 per annum. Salary will be commensurate with knowledge and related experience.

- Holiday Bonus: $1,000 (pro-rated based on start date and active days worked)
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift: Monday to Thursday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | and Friday 8:00 AM – 4 PM
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform the Finished Product and Raw Material release process, ensuring all necessary documentation, testing, and compliance checks are completed prior to release.
· Manage and mentor a team of QA professionals, including setting performance goals, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
· Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements such as Health Canada, FDA, and ICH guidelines.
· Ensure that all documentation is accurate and reflects current practices and regulatory requirements.
· Analyze and approve product stability data at scheduled intervals to assess product stability and shelf-life predictions.
· Conduct thorough annual product reviews, ensuring all products meet regulatory requirements and quality standards. This includes collecting and analyzing data related to product performance, including manufacturing processes, quality control results, stability results, and investigations.
· Assist in executing internal and external audits, including compiling necessary documentation and implementing corrective actions to resolve any deficiencies or gaps identified.
· Work collaboratively with other departments to address quality concerns and support product development and commercialization.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, chemistry, or related field.
· 10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role would be an asset.
· Regulatory Knowledge - In-depth understanding of Canadian and international pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards (e.g., Health Canada, FDA, ICH).
