We are currently recruiting a Personal Support Worker to assist a private male employer, who has cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorder, in all activities of daily living.
He enjoys watching sports (NHL and NFL) as well as playing video games. He likes to attend the local theater to watch movies and would like to have someone to go with.
Location:
- Maple Ridge (near Thomas Haney School)
Compensation:
- $23 per hour for night shifts
- $25 per hour for day shifts
Shifts:
- Tuesday 4 pm-10 pm
- Wednesday 8 am-4 pm
- Thursday 8 am to 4 pm
- Saturdays 8 am – 4 pm (alternating)
- Sundays 8 am- 4 pm(possible)
Personal Support Worker Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)
- All aspects of Personal Care include, but are not limited to, showering, grooming dressing and washroom care (assistance with urinal)
- Use Ceiling Lift to transfer safely
- Light housekeeping including laundry
- Simple meal preparation
Qualifications:
- Caregiving experience
- Willingness to learn
- A Class 4 or 5 Driver's License required
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification required
- Willing to clean and do household chores required
- Willing to drive client's van to assist with any outings required
- Will need to complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
