Happy Pet Spa is looking for an outgoing, energetic person to join our doggy daycare team.
This position is permanent part-time, averaging approximately 12 hours per week Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:30am - 5:30pm.
You will be responsible for supervising dogs in a daycare/grooming environment, cleaning and assisting the groomers from time to time. Prior experience working with or training dogs, and knowledge of dog breeds is preferred.
***Please note: If you have allergies to dogs / cats or asthma, this is not a good environment for these types of health issues - there is a high level of pet dander in the environment***
Applicants must be/have:
*18+ years of age
*available to work Mon-Fri between the hours of 6:30am to 5:30pm
*reliable transportation, and reliable/punctual attendance record
*physically fit - specifically: able to move quickly to manage behavior, and lift up to 50lbs at times
*friendly, outgoing, social demeanor to support a team environment and great customer service skills
*attention to detail, knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing spaces, ability to multi-task
*self-starting initiative to see work that needs to be done and do it without prompting
*must love dogs - this means having the ability to spend long periods interacting with the dogs without needing to socialize with another human
*no vacation time will be granted without prior management approval
