Peel Hardware & Supply is a locally owned and operated farm, hardware, feed, and country store serving Caledon and the surrounding communities.
We are seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our sales team. This position focuses on customer service, product knowledge, and sales support throughout the store. This is not a cashier position.
We are looking for long-term team members who enjoy helping customers, learning new products, and contributing to a professional team environment. Not a summer job.

Available Positions
Position 1 - Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, $19.00 per hour
Position 2 - Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, $19.50 per hour
Position 3 - Thursday to Monday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the store
- Assist customers in selecting products and finding solutions
- Develop product knowledge across multiple departments
- Fill propane cylinders safely and accurately
- Dispense Sodium Hypochlorite Solution in accordance with company procedures
- Load customer purchases when required
- Receive and stock merchandise
- Maintain attractive product displays
- Support seasonal merchandising initiatives
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- CSA-approved safety footwear required
- Reliable transportation preferred
Experience in hardware, farm supply, feed, agriculture, landscaping, building materials, garden centres, warehouse operations, or retail sales is considered an asset but is not required.
Training Requirements
Successful candidates will receive company training, including:
- Product knowledge training
- Workplace health and safety training
- Propane dispensing certification
- Sodium Hypochlorite Solution handling procedures
- WHMIS and required workplace safety training
Employment is conditional upon successful completion of required workplace training and safety certifications.
