Organization Background:
Hellenic Home for the Aged Inc. a not for profit, charitable organization, operating a 225- unit seniors’ apartment complex, two Long Term Care facilities, with 82 beds in Toronto, and 128 beds in Scarborough, an Adult Day program, and a Supportive Housing division, seeks a Human Resources Manager.
The Hellenic Home for the Aged provides a safe, welcoming and supportive community for seniors, that includes 225 independent-living apartments.
The Full-Time Live-In Superintendent plays an important role in maintaining the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the property and supporting the well-being of our tenants.
Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for:
- Maintaining the overall property in a clean, safe, and secure state.
- Maintaining the interior common areas, hallways, dining hall, mechanical rooms, and auxiliary spaces, in a clean, safe, and secure state.
- Maintaining the exterior grounds, the entrances, walkways, driveways, lawns and planters, common exterior areas including furniture, in a clean, safe, and secure state.
- Maintaining logs of building equipment and reporting deficiencies or supplies as needed.
- Cleaning and preparing apartment units when they become vacant for occupancy by new tenants.
- Assisting contractors with building access and support as directed.
- Working as part of the Environmental Services team.
- As a live-in position, the Superintendent is required to be available on-call for building-related emergencies and urgent maintenance matters outside of regular working hours as per schedule.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
