About the Position
Skeena River Lodge is seeking a professional, personable, and service-focused Fine Dining Server to join our lodge team.
Our servers play an important role in creating the overall guest experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing attentive, polished service while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
This position is ideal for someone with previous restaurant, lodge, resort, hotel, or fine-dining experience who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team in a unique hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and attentive dinner service in a fine-dining lodge environment
- Serve multi-course dinners with proper timing, presentation, and service etiquette
- Provide knowledgeable wine and beverage service
- Set, maintain, clear, and reset dining tables to a high standard
- Prepare the dining room, bar, and guest areas prior to service
- Assist with après service and other guest hospitality requirements
- Maintain and restock beverages, glassware, bar supplies, and service areas
- Polish glassware and ensure all service items are presentation-ready
- Communicate closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team regarding timing, dietary restrictions, allergies, and guest requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room, bar, and service areas
- Assist with dishes and other service-related duties as required
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to guests throughout their stay
- Work collaboratively with the lodge, kitchen, housekeeping, and operations teams
Qualifications
- Previous serving or hospitality experience required
- Fine-dining, luxury lodge, resort, hotel, or upscale restaurant experience is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of professional table service and dining etiquette
- Wine and beverage knowledge is considered a strong asset
- Serving It Right certification, or willingness to obtain prior to employment
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills
- Professional, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of service
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Flexible and willing to assist in other areas of lodge operations when required
- Valid driver's licence is considered an asset
