POSITION: Yard Operator LOCATION: Westfield
Hensall Co-op is seeking a reliable individual to become an integral member of our team! This is a seasonal position from approximately August to December, working out of the Westfield location.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service for incoming and outgoing loads of agricultural products by weighing, loading, and unloading product
- Maintain accurate records of product movement and ensure proper documentation is completed for each load
- Operate all equipment associated with the elevator including drags, conveyors, scales, and pits
- Perform general maintenance and housekeeping to ensure the yard is always kept clean and safe
- Assist with inventory control by verifying shipments, completing documentation, and producing inventory counts when needed
- All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Attention to detail with strong time management
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform manual labour tasks for long periods of time
- Physically able to lift 50lbs and climb up to 100 ft
- Dependable with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to work at heights
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an agricultural setting is an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
