We are looking for an experienced and reliable AZ Driver to join our growing machine rental company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of light and heavy construction equipment throughout Ontario.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of AZ driving experience
- References are mandatory
- Valid Ontario AZ driver’s licence
- Clean and acceptable driver’s abstract and CVOR record
- Experience transporting light and heavy machinery is mandatory
- Experience loading and securing construction equipment
- Knowledge of proper load securement procedures and Ontario regulations
- Ability to safely operate and transport equipment including, but not limited to:
- Scissor lifts
- Boom lifts
- Skid steers
- Excavators
- Other light and heavy construction equipment
- Knowledge of applicable MTO and Ontario transportation regulations
- Ability to complete and maintain all required documentation, including:
- Daily log books / Hours of Service records
- Daily vehicle inspections (DVIR)
- Trip inspections
- Load and delivery paperwork
- Ability to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle safety requirements
- Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to identify and report mechanical or safety concerns immediately
- Comfortable working independently and managing daily routes and deliveries
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction and equipment rental environment
