Position Overview:
The Site Superintendent owns day-to-day execution in the field, directing all on-site activities, trades, and subcontractors to deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and to spec. You are the senior leader on the ground and the primary point of accountability for site safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all field operations, subcontractors, and self-perform crews
- Build and maintain the look-ahead schedule and drive daily/weekly production targets
- Enforce health & safety policies, lead toolbox talks, and ensure full regulatory compliance
- Review drawings, specs, and RFIs; resolve field conflicts before they impact the schedule
- Conduct quality inspections and manage deficiency tracking to closeout
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics
- Maintain daily logs, progress photos, and report status to the Project Manager
- Liaise professionally with owners, consultants, and inspectors
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of construction field experience with 3+ years as a superintendent
- Strong knowledge of ICI construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Working at Heights and WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Excellent leadership, scheduling, and communication skills
- Valid Ontario driver's license
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Pay: $90,000-$115,000 per year
Work Location: In person, project sites (Hamilton, ON area)
