Makloc is seeking a dependable and hardworking Weld Shop Labourer to join our welding team.
This hands-on role supports welders and shop operations by moving materials, preparing steel for welding, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring the safe flow of materials throughout the shop.
Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):
- Assist welders with material handling and workpiece preparation.
- Move, load, unload, and stage steel and welded assemblies.
- Grind, clean, and prepare components for welding, inspection, and painting.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and assist with scrap removal.
- Support inventory organization and material tracking.
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in daily toolbox meetings
Qualifications:
- Previous welding shop, manufacturing, or construction labour experience is an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials throughout the day.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience are considered assets.
