Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Wire EDM machines to cut metal parts according to technical specifications
- Interpret CAD drawings, setup sheets, and work job cards to determine part dimensions and tolerances
- Select appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring the best quality results
- Monitor the machine to ensure proper operation
- Inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications using precision measuring tools (variant calipers, micrometers, and gauges)
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Wire EDM machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with engineers and programmers to adjust processes and techniques as needed
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Post-graduate experience in manufacturing technician or related program
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining principles, processes and equipment
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with CNC programming (preferred, but not required)
Pay: $20.00 per hour
