Job Title: Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician
Location: Calgary, AB (on-site)
Employment Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $50K to 52K per annum
Start Date: Immediately
Position Overview:
The QA/QC is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with product specifications, customer requirements, established quality standards, and intended performance criteria.
This role supports manufacturing operations by identifying and documenting nonconforming products, maintaining accurate inspection and quality records, preparing Certificates of Conformance (COCs), and ensuring that only products meeting all quality requirements are released for production or customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform incoming inspection of electronics and mechanical components such as sensor, PCB, housing, etc.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using approved SOPs/inspection methods.
- Perform dimensional, visual and functional testing as required.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, segregate and report nonconforming products and initiate NCMRs in accordance with company's procedures.
- Record inspection and test results accurately within the ERP System and maintain quality records.
- Verify calibration status of measuring equipment/tools.
- Support root cause investigation, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain product identification and traceability throughout the inspection process.
- Support internal, customer and certification audits.
- Maintain a safe work environment while complying with company HSE program and policies.

Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, Quality Technician, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and sensor technologies.
- Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment.
- Proficient with computers and common software applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to accurately collect, analyze, and document test data.
- Experience preparing technical reports and communicating results effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
