Peters Excavating Ltd. is a Saskatchewan-based construction and excavation company serving communities since 1956. We specialize in earthwork, grading, site servicing, demolition, concrete removal, and related civil projects of all sizes. We are looking for a full-time Bookkeeper to support day-to-day operations.
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee our road construction, earthworks, and site preparation projects. You will manage projects from initial excavation through to final grade.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination of people, equipment, materials, and production targets.
You will work closely with the General Manager and the Construction Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead road construction, earthworks, and site preparation projects from bidding to completion
- Manage project schedules, cost tracking, and equipment allocation efficiency
- Oversee site superintendents, operators, and sub-contractors on active project sites.
- Attend and document site and progress meetings as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OH&S regulations, and safe ground disturbance procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management
- Experience leading a crew in a management or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications
- Experience with rotating lasers and grade control equipment
- Understanding of safe ground disturbance procedures
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability to work extended hours during construction season
