Redd Skull Comics is looking for a creative and knowledgeable Social Media Marketing Coordinator to help grow our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Redd Skull has been serving Calgary’s comic community for over 20 years, offering new comics, back issues, graphic novels, manga, Gathering cards, figures, statues, toys, collectibles, and plenty of hidden gems.
We’re looking for someone who can bring that personality online and help more people discover what makes Redd Skull special.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating and posting engaging Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok content
- Taking photos and videos of new releases, collectibles, staff picks, and store finds
- Creating short-form videos, reels, and TikToks
- Highlighting new comic releases, back issues, manga, figures, Magic cards, and merchandise
- Promoting events, sales, special releases, and Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo appearances
- Helping develop a consistent posting schedule and content ideas
- Writing fun, informative captions that fit Redd Skull’s personality
- Engaging with followers through comments and messages
- Keeping up with relevant social media trends and adapting them to comic and pop-culture content
- Helping grow Redd Skull’s local online community
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong interest in comics, manga, collectibles, gaming, or pop culture
- Understands Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Is comfortable filming and editing short-form video content
- Has a good eye for photos, video, and visual presentation
- Is creative and can come up with new content ideas
- Can write engaging and professional captions
- Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Understands current social media trends without making the content feel forced or overly corporate
Previous social media, marketing, photography, or content creation experience is an asset, but we’re also interested in people who can show us what they can create.
