Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various grooming tasks. This role involves providing professional grooming services that ensure dogs look and feel their best, while maintaining a safe and positive environment for pets and clients alike.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, hair trimming, styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Assess each pet’s coat condition and determine appropriate grooming techniques and products
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area to ensure a safe environment
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary to lift or move large or heavy pets safely
- Schedule appointments and manage grooming bookings efficiently to ensure timely service delivery
- Monitor pets during grooming sessions to ensure their safety and comfort at all times
- Educate pet owners on proper grooming routines and recommend suitable products or treatments
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog grooming or related animal care is preferred but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when lifting large or heavy dogs
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience and gentle handling skills
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality pet care services
Pay: $22.00-$40.72 per hour
