Looking for passionate individuals to join our talented team. Searching for a bit of an all rounder who`s as comfortable making entrees as they are making eggs bennies or preparing for banquets. This position could be seasonal or year round, depending on the right candidate. We are looking to hire immediately as our season is beginning much earlier this year.
Responsibility & Duties:
- Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
- Prepare a variety of foods; meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable and cold food items
- Arrange sauces and supplementary garnishes for allocated station
- Cover, date and correctly store food prep items
- Notify Chef in advance of likely shortages
- Serve menu items compliant with established standards
- Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructions
- Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times
- Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately
- Returns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas
- Effectively run a station with little to no supervision
- Follow Food Safe standards and practice sanitary food handling and techniques
- Collaborate with Chef to create Features and other Menu options
- Follow safe work practices
- Assist with all duties as assigned by Chef
Qualifications:
Have at least 2 years cooking experience
Positive and Can Do Attitude
Strong communication and team building skills
Proven ability to multi task
Lead by example in all areas of kitchen; organization, drive, professionalism, attitude and etiquette
Able to work flexible shifts
Demonstrated superior customer service philosophy
Able to meet physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 30lbs, bending, stretching, pushing and pulling
