Position: Investor Relations Manager
We are hiring an Investor Relations Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering the Company’s investor relations and corporate communications strategy in our Toronto Corporate office. Working within a collaborative team, this position will report to the Vice President, Investor Relations to help manage and implement i-80 Gold’s growing investor relations program.
The goal of the investor relations program is to clearly communicate the Company’s strategy and performance to the investment community, ensuring that investors, analysts, retail brokers, and the media are well informed, strengthening market credibility, expanding the shareholder base, and supporting a fair market valuation.
The Investor Relations Manager will work in partnership with the Vice President, Investor Relations to create global marketing and investor engagement initiatives and develop compelling investor materials, while coordinating global events, and delivering clear, accurate and consistent messaging to investors, analysts, and the media.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who is proactive, enjoys a fast-paced environment and communicates effectively. It also offers high visibility across senior leadership and the opportunity to directly influence how the Company is positioned in the global investment community.
Location: Toronto Corporate Office (Downtown Toronto at York/Adelaide)
Responsibilities Will Include:
Communications & Content Development
- Draft and edit investor communications, including presentations, news releases, scripts, fact sheets, and other materials for industry conferences.
- Lead the production and development of investor relations digital content, including video and other multimedia materials, by partnering with external creative and production agencies.
- Lead and ensure timely content updates and ongoing maintenance of the corporate website.
- Manage the distribution of press releases and other materials through a newswire service.
- Ensure technical and financial information is consistent and accurate across all communication channels.
- Research and assess best practices related to investor relations and communications, making recommendations to enhance department materials according to the latest industry standards.
Media Relations
- Develop and execute an investor social media strategy, including the timely creation of content.
- Monitor online media and chat rooms for commentary and report findings on an ongoing basis.
- Track company and peer news, as well as relevant industry trends, to support competitive disclosure.
- Prepare media briefing notes prior to management interviews.
Event Planning
- Lead the execution of high-profile global investor events, including conferences, investor roadshows, quarterly results conference calls and webcasts, technical updates, investor days, and mine tours.
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and material distribution.
Internal Support
- Lead the evaluation, implementation, and internal adoption of AI tools to enhance department workflows, reporting, and efficiency.
- Maintain and update the investor CRM, distribution lists, and contact databases.
- Support various department administrative tasks, such as budgeting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years’ of experience in investor relations.
- Experience in mining, natural resources, industrials, or capital markets is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Professional presence and comfort interacting with senior executives across departments and external stakeholders.
- High proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word; familiarity with CRM/IR software an asset.
- Familiarity with public company disclosure requirements, earnings cycles, and investor communications best practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of digital design, AI, and social media platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial and operational information are preferred.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours during busy periods (e.g. earnings reporting period).
