Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the high standards of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operability.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management or equipment operation when required.
- Minimum 3 years experience required
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and perform basic automotive repairs is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws governing commercial vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Physical ability to load, unload, and handle freight, including lifting heavy items when necessary.
- Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity for dedicated drivers to contribute significantly to our logistics operations while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.
