Personal Chef / Private Cook

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, reliable, and passionate Personal Chef / Cook to craft exceptional, healthy dining experiences in a respectful and welcoming private residence in Puslinch. In this role, you will bring your culinary artistry into a quiet family home, primarily preparing high-quality, family-style meals for two adults and two kids (with occasional visiting family members).

Key Responsibilities
- Menu Planning & Customization: Design and prepare balanced, rotating menus tailored to the family's daily meal schedule.
- Meal Preparation & Presentation: Cook and present fresh, flavorful, whole-food meals with precision, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Sourcing & Grocery Shopping: Coordinate local grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing to ensure maximum freshness and quality (funds/credit card provided).
- Kitchen Sanitation & Organization: Maintain a meticulously clean, organized kitchen environment during and after cooking, adhering to proper food storage, labeling, and food safety regulations at all times.
- Independent Management: Handle all aspects of food preparation, time management, and service smoothly while respecting family privacy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Culinary Experience: Proven background in food preparation and cooking within private homes, professional kitchen environments, or the restaurant industry.
- Safety & Standards: Active Food Handler Certification and deep knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards.
- Transportation: reliable personal transportation required for local grocery shopping.
- Culinary Versatility: Exceptional cooking skills with a passion for healthy, whole-food meal preparation and the ability to create diverse cuisines.
- Professional Attributes: Highly organized, dependable, self-motivated, and respectful of personal space and privacy.
Schedule
Hours: Weekdays (Monday–Friday), 15–20 hours per week (covers menu planning, shopping, cooking, prep, and clean-up).
Trial Period: The final hiring stage will include a paid, one-week cooking trial in our home to ensure a great mutual fit.
