Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Border specialist to join our construction team in. This role involves precise installation and finishing of drywall borders to ensure high-quality interior surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, carpentry, and related trades, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with blueprint reading and handyman skills are highly valued to support various project needs.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install drywall borders according to project specifications and blueprints
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure smooth and durable finishes
- Perform surface preparation, sanding, and finishing for a professional appearance
- Assist with other construction tasks such as painting, carpentry, or minor repairs as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints to accurately execute border placements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, drywall installation, or related trades
- Strong carpentry skills with hands-on handyman experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and finishing methods for drywall borders
- Construction experience is essential; prior experience in framing or carpentry is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
- Reliable transportation and adherence to safety protocols are required
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
