Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations at our Canadian location. This pivotal role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, supporting our mission to provide exceptional pearl jewelry worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile accounts and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within manufacturing or distribution industries.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and general accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lead financial reporting processes and manage teams.
- Knowledge of payroll management and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
