We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Math and Science Teacher for the upcoming academic school year to inspire and educate students in a vibrant learning environment.

Duties
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards that incorporate innovative teaching methods and learning technology tools
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement and achievement
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and formative assessments; provide timely feedback and support tutoring as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational best practices to continuously improve teaching effectiveness
- Mentor students academically and personally; provide guidance on higher education pathways and career opportunities in STEM fields
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and participation; prepare reports for school administration
- Engage with parents and guardians through conferences to discuss student progress and address individual learning needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Science Education, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of Islam and contribute positively to an Islamic learning environment
- Proven experience teaching math and science at the middle school level; prior classroom management experience required
- Strong knowledge of mathematics; a comprehensive understanding of science disciplines
- Experience with curriculum development tailored to diverse student needs including special education.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts to students of varying abilities
- Ability to design engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on experiments like dissections and laboratory work while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, grading, record-keeping and instructional coordination
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students effectively while fostering a supportive classroom environment
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience preparing students for assessments is preferred
