Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Auto Parts Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting customers with their automotive needs, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive parts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience and familiarity with automotive or customer services are highly desirable.
Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct auto parts and accessories based on their vehicle needs
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, handle cash and credit payments accurately
- Provide knowledgeable advice regarding automotive repairs, maintenance, and product features
- Maintain organized displays and ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor and stockroom
- Engage in upselling and marketing efforts to promote additional products or services
- Support customer service initiatives by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience or retail sales background preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and order fulfillment processes
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and negotiation abilities
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, maintenance, and parts is highly advantageous
- Organizational skills to manage inventory, maintain displays, and ensure efficient workflow
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for record keeping or reporting tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for transactions and inventory calculations
