Overview
A full time cook position is available at Give Pizza Chance Sooke. Looking for an individual with prior cooking experience who is skilled at/or would like to learn the art of cooking by fire. Must be available 5 days a week 30-35 hrs. Wage plus shared tips.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizza according to established recipes and guidelines
- Serve food to customers with a friendly and positive attitude
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of customers
- Assist with prep, including chopping vegetables, cooking proteins, and preparing garnishes
- Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages as necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A passion for serving others and providing excellent customer service
