Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role involves assisting with various building projects, performing manual labor, and supporting skilled tradespeople. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and clean-up of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to support carpentry, framing, and finishing tasks.
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks involving plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Perform caulking and painting tasks as needed to meet project specifications.
- Operate basic equipment and support installation of systems such as plumbing or electrical components.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Assist in demolition or removal of old structures during renovation or restoration projects.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment.
- Knowledge of construction processes including carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as restoration techniques or advanced carpentry methods.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship in all tasks performed. Pay: $18.00-$32.00 per hour
