CNC Lathe Operator (Fanuc Controller)
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controllers according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Determine and prepare the required procedures, fixtures, attachments, tooling, and materials before production begins.
- Optimize machine parameters, including spindle speeds, feeds, and tooling, to reduce cycle times while maintaining dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Inspect finished parts by measuring dimensions, threads, and critical features using precision measuring instruments, and accurately record inspection data.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, keep equipment clean, report damaged or malfunctioning equipment, and follow all preventive maintenance procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures and being accountable for your own safety and the safety of others.
- Produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications and tolerance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to improve productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and thread gauges.
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and GD&T is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Note:
Pay is commensurate with experience, skills, and demonstrated ability.
