About the Role
Browns Socialhouse in Chestermere is looking for a motivated and results-driven Manager to join our leadership team.
The Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, developing the front-of-house team, maintaining excellent guest-service standards, and helping the restaurant achieve its operational and financial goals.
We are looking for a dependable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and creating a great guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and support front-of-house employees to ensure strong performance, teamwork, and consistent service standards.
Daily Operations
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, cash handling, and completion of required reports.
Guest Experience
Maintain a guest-first approach by supporting the team during service, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring every guest receives friendly and professional service.
Labour Management
Assist with scheduling, labour-cost control, break management, and ensuring the restaurant is appropriately staffed for business levels.
Training and Development
Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development of front-of-house employees.
Operational Standards
Ensure cleanliness, safety, food-handling procedures, liquor regulations, and Browns Socialhouse brand standards are consistently followed.
Kitchen Collaboration
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen leadership team to ensure smooth communication and efficient service between the front and back of house.
Sales and Business Growth
Support local marketing initiatives, promotions, community events, and other sales-building opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least three years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- At least a year of experience in a restaurant leadership or supervisory role
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing high-volume restaurant shifts
- Understanding of labour costs, scheduling, cash handling, and inventory procedures
- Ability to coach employees and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
