Concierge Security Officer
Primary role is to provide a combination of security services and excellent customer service to ensure the safety and satisfaction of residents, visitors, and employees within a designated property or premises. You will serve as the first point of contact, representing the organization and creating a welcoming and secure environment. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Access Control and Surveillance:
- Monitor and control access to the property, including entrances, gates, and parking areas.
- Greet residents, visitors, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
- Verify identification, issue visitor passes or badges, and maintain accurate records of individuals entering or leaving the premises.
- Utilize surveillance systems, such as CCTV cameras, to monitor the property and promptly respond to any security breaches or suspicious activities
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and employees.
- Respond to inquiries, provide directions, offer assistance, and address concerns or complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
- Act as a resource for information about the property, local amenities, and community services.
Security Patrol and Observation:
- Conduct regular patrols on foot or using security vehicles to monitor the property, including common areas, lobbies, hallways, and other designated areas.
- Maintain a visible presence and observe for any signs of unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, or safety hazards.
- Report any security concerns or incidents promptly to the appropriate authorities or supervisors.
Emergency Response:
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fires, or other security-related incidents.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for evacuations, first aid, or emergency response measures.
- Communicate with emergency services, provide accurate information, and assist as necessary until help arrives.
Incident Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports of all security-related incidents, including observations, actions taken, and relevant information.
- Maintain a log of daily activities, incidents, and any notable occurrences during your shift.
- Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication to supervisors, management, or law enforcement as required.
Safety Inspections and Risk Mitigation:
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address safety hazards, such as faulty equipment, trip hazards, or potential security vulnerabilities.
- Take appropriate actions to mitigate or resolve identified hazards, including notifying the necessary departments or personnel.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs that may impact security or safety.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications in security or customer service fields are advantageous).
- Previous experience in security, hospitality, or a related customer service role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse individuals.
- Knowledge of security procedures, access control systems, and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and handle conflicts or challenging interactions.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and using security systems.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform duties that may involve moderate physical exertion.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Part-time hours: 40 per week
Pay: $19.00 per hour
