ACCU-STAFF is currently recruiting dependable and motivated individuals for General Labour – Cannabis positions with one of our valued clients in Leamington, Ontario.
In this role, you'll support daily production operations by assisting with packaging, labeling, product inspection, sanitation, and quality control. This position is well suited for individuals who are comfortable with repetitive tasks, can follow detailed procedures, and take pride in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
We're looking for candidates who demonstrate reliability, strong attendance, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
What You'll Be Doing
- Package, label, inspect, and prepare cannabis products according to established procedures and applicable Health Canada requirements
- Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Prepare packaging materials, supplies, and work areas for daily production
- Verify product labels, information, and batch documentation for accuracy
- Complete repetitive general labour and production duties throughout the shift
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices (GPP)
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, workstations, and production areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready workspace
- Properly wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with packaging, inspection, sanitation, quality control, and additional production duties as required
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production, quality, and safety expectations
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in general labour, manufacturing, production, packaging, food production, or cannabis production is considered an asset
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability
- Strong work ethic and a positive, professional attitude
- Willingness to learn and take on a variety of production responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and established procedures
- Comfortable completing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable wearing required PPE, including masks, respirators, gloves, hairnets, and hearing protection
- Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
- Reliable transportation is required, as the Leamington facility is not accessible by public transit
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
- Previous cannabis industry experience is considered an asset; however, candidates with transferable production or manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply
