Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Counter Person to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and supporting daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a background in automotive repair or dealership experience is a plus, and proficiency with POS systems. Bilingual abilities and familiarity with retail sales, marketing, and order fulfillment are highly desirable to enhance customer interactions and streamline store processes.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on automotive parts or services, leveraging dealership or automotive repair experience if applicable
- Maintain organized product displays and ensure shelves are stocked
- Support order fulfillment by processing customer requests efficiently
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately
- Assist in marketing efforts to promote products and services
- Support maintenance of the store environment to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Utilize CDK for inventory tracking, sales reporting, or other administrative tasks
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or dealership environments; automotive repair knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including negotiation and effective phone etiquette
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for transaction accuracy and inventory management
- Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote products and increase sales
