Responsibilities
- Supervise daily office operations, including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, referral management.
- Manage staff schedules, provide training, and oversee performance to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Oversee electronic medical records systems (Telus MedAccess) ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with privacy laws
- Coordinate physician schedules to facilitate smooth patient flow and support clinical workflows
- Handle human resource functions including hiring, onboarding, staff evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Monitor clinic supplies
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards across the practice
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a medical office environment with strong supervisory skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (Telus MedAccess.)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Experience in human resources management within a healthcare setting
- Background medical office assistant or management preferred
- Prior medical office experience or hospital experience is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
