Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full time Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen environment, ensuring that all food service operations run smoothly. This role is essential for supporting our chefs and ensuring high standards of hospitality and food handling practices.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Support cooks by preparing ingredients, chopping vegetables, and measuring portions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines during all kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen stations before and after service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of food handling safety practices is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
