The work
- Own product design from problem framing and exploration through prototyping, delivery, QA, and iteration
- Create dashboards, visualizations, comparisons, drill-down experiences, filtering systems, tables, reporting interfaces, and analytical tools
- Turn complex AI, analytics, and technical concepts into straightforward product experiences
- Work closely with leadership and engineering to define problems before jumping to solutions
- Prototype quickly to explore competing approaches before committing engineering resources
- Conduct or participate in customer interviews, usability testing, and lightweight product research
- Combine customer feedback, behavioural data, product analytics, and business requirements to inform design decisions
- Own and evolve our design system, including reusable patterns, components, interaction standards, accessibility, and documentation
- Stay involved through implementation, working directly with developers to resolve edge cases and maintain design quality
- Help establish stronger product design practices as the company and product grow
Education / Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of professional Product Design, UX/UI Design, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience designing enterprise software, complex B2B SaaS products, or similarly sophisticated web applications
- Strong UX, interaction design, and information architecture fundamentals
- Experience working with data-heavy interfaces such as dashboards, analytics products, reporting tools, administrative systems, or business intelligence products
- Strong proficiency in Figma
- Experience creating, maintaining, or extending design systems and component libraries
- Strong understanding of responsive web application design
- Experience collaborating closely with developers through handoff, implementation, and QA
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a problem without waiting for fully specified requirements
Strong assets
- Experience with early-stage, 0→1, or rapidly evolving SaaS products
- Experience designing analytics, business intelligence, search, SEO, marketing technology, or AI products
- Experience using AI-assisted design and prototyping tools such as Figma Make, Claude, or similar tools
- Experience using product analytics and behavioural tools such as GA4, Microsoft Clarity, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar platforms
- Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar technologies
- Experience working directly with APIs, application states, data structures, or technical system constraints
- Visual or graphic design experience
Front-end coding ability is not required, but it would be a significant advantage. We value designers who understand how interfaces are built and can move fluidly between design, prototyping, and implementation.
We're looking for a person that
- Pays attention to the subtle interaction details that separate functional software from a genuinely good product
- Is comfortable challenging requirements when there is a better way to solve the underlying problem
- Can balance speed, scope, usability, consistency, and engineering constraints
- Is comfortable working on multiple areas of a product simultaneously
- Uses AI as part of their working process without treating AI output as a substitute for design judgment
- Understands that the quality of an enterprise product depends heavily on edge cases, empty states, loading states, errors, permissions, hierarchy, navigation, and information density
- Wants meaningful ownership over the evolution of a product rather than simply receiving design tickets
About Gander AI Search Intelligence
Gander is a B2B AI search intelligence platform that helps agencies and organizations understand how they appear in AI search, how competitors are performing, what sources influence AI answers, and how AI systems describe their brands.
That creates an unusual design challenge: the underlying data can be highly complex, but the experience needs to help users quickly understand what happened, why it matters, and what they should do next.
You’ll work directly with the people building the product and have substantial influence over how Gander evolves.
