About the Role
The Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston Water's Edge is seeking a motivated, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Housekeeping Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operation and upkeep of the hotel while helping to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our guests and associates.
This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in preventative maintenance, enjoys troubleshooting building systems, and leads by example through teamwork and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee daily preventative maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls.
- Assist with maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
- Complete routine inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Support room renovations, painting, carpentry, drywall repairs, and general maintenance projects.
- Assist in maintaining maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Support the Maintenance & Housekeeping Manager with departmental priorities, inventory, contractor coordination, and special projects.
- Assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and seasonal property upkeep as required.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance or commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
- A valid Ontario driver's licence is considered an asset.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
