We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Class 1 Driver to join our team!
Job Summary
Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Class 1 Driver (Owner Operator) provides daily pick-up and delivery service to/from our Edmonton (Acheson) facility and local region. This role may require physical labour, including using a manual pallet jack.
Shift
Monday to Friday; Day shift
Location
204A Walker Crescent, Acheson, AB, T7X 5A4
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-trips equipment daily and reports per company requirements
- Communicates with dispatch to ensure efficient route planning
- Communicates with clients on site to ensure delivery services meets or exceeds expectations
- Pick up and delivery of freight in an efficient and safe manner
- Reports road incidents to the Dispatcher
- Maintains a positive attitude with customers/clients
Qualification Requirements:
- Professional attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers
- Experience owning, operating, and maintaining a commercial vehicle to DOT safety regulations
- Current Class 1 Driver’s license with clean COMMERCIAL driver’s abstract
- Basic geographical knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas..
- Ability to lift freight up to 50 lbs.
- Available to work full time Monday - Friday
Truck Requirements
- Class 1 Tractor
- Preference given to trucks 5 years or newer.
