Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Part-Time Barista to join our team. As a Barista at The Bean & Co, you’ll be the face of our business, ensuring that each customer has a positive experience. You’ll create high-quality beverages, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and contribute to the smooth operation of our café.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso drinks, and teas according to our menu and customer preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with their orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee station, dining area, and equipment.
- Operate coffee-making machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment with care and attention to safety standards.
- Ensure inventory is stocked and restock supplies as needed.
- Handle cash register transactions, process payments, and give correct change.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food and beverage quality and cleanliness.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the café for the next shift.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

- Experience working in a similar role an asset
- Can work an open schedule including evenings, weekends & holidays
- Leads with integrity and professionalism towards customers, and team members
- Treats themselves and others with respect.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a busy and fast paced work setting.

Qualifications:
- Previous barista or customer service experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- A passion for coffee and a desire to learn about different brewing methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
