Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counsellors to join our summer program. This role involves supervising and engaging with children in a safe, fun, and educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in early childhood education or related fields. As a Camp Counsellor, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences that promote growth, learning, and enjoyment for all campers.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children during camp activities, outings, and free time.
- Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational sessions.
- Support children's social development by encouraging teamwork, communication, and positive interactions.
- Assist with the planning and execution of daily schedules to ensure a balanced mix of fun and learning.
- Provide tutoring or educational support as needed to help children with their learning goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized activity area, ensuring all equipment is used safely.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all children.
Skills
- Experience in tutoring or teaching young children is highly desirable.
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
- Strong ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and team members professionally.
- Creativity in planning engaging activities that promote learning and fun.
