Location: This position is located in Moosomin, SK and will serve our Saskatchewan & Manitoba markets
Reports To: Instrumentation & Combustion Manager
Are you a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering reliable, compliant, and efficient combustion solutions? Primec is seeking a Combustion Technician to support our customers through the installation, maintenance, and optimization of combustion systems across a variety of sites.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring system performance, safety, and operational reliability while working independently and alongside a collaborative technical team.

What You'll Do
- Install, calibrate, and maintain combustion systems and associated equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair burners and combustion equipment to minimize downtime
- Perform flue gas analysis and combustion tuning to maximize efficiency
- Conduct API flame arrestor testing and ensure CSA B149.3 compliance
- Execute preventative maintenance programs to support system reliability
- Maintain accurate service documentation, including reports and test results
- Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Participate in training, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrate and promote Primec’s cultural practices while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment
What You Bring
- Journeyman Gas Fitter certification or equivalent technical training
- Experience with combustion system installation, maintenance, and optimization is considered an asset
- Familiarity with CSA B149.3 standards and related safety and environmental regulations considered an asset
- Experience performing flue gas analysis and combustion tuning
- Ability to work independently and within a team across field and shop environments
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
