Assistant Project Manager Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager will work with the Project Management Team and will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:· Project execution; planning and managing the entire lifecycle of the Project, coordination of the Work from pre-construction throughout construction to Project closeout· Documentation of Project issues and concerns; documentation of meetings and distribution to Project stakeholders in timely manner· Owner relationship management· Fostering and maintaining Subcontractor relationships· Consultant relationship management
· Update and distribute construction schedule weekly to Subcontractors and bi-weekly to Owners and Consultants
· Ensure assigned Projects meet the required milestone dates through coordination and proactive management of Subcontractors’ Work
· Develop and maintain an ongoing risk register of potential issues that may jeopardize the success of the Project and communicate with NIACON leadership
· Project Contract / Subcontract management including changes in the scope of Work
· Manage Project deficiencies through Procore tools and assign and update for resolution in timely manner
· Learn and adhere to NIACON’s best practices (NIACON Way)
· Participate and contribute during monthly PMT Offsites
· Continually train on Procore upgrades
· Manage Project costs through Procore Budget to ensure predictable financial health of the assigned construction Projects
· Manage the Project’s Division 1 costs and protect NIACON’s expected contribution through reimbursable delays, claims, and Change Orders with changes in the Contract Time
· Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation along with NIACON’s policies with safe and organized sites
· Ensure standards or workmanship meet the Project expectations
· Maintain daily work records as required by the Project, MOL, and NIACON’s best practices
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years in the construction industry
· Minimum 3 years working “at risk” for a General Contractor in Canada (CCDC 2, CCDC 14, CCDC 5B)
· Familiar with CCDC Contracts and CCA Subcontracts
· Experience with drafting and distributing Notices and claims
· Experience with Procore project management software
· Experience with MS Project for creating and updating the construction schedule including changes in Work, delays, and Notices
· Living in Niagara or willing to relocate within 6 months of taking position
· Interested in a long-term career
· Ability to manage Division 1 costs through monitored resources to provide accurate predictability on the Project’s financial health

Pay: $80,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
