Job Title: Fabricator (Day Shift 7:00am to 3:30pm) Pay Rate ($23.50 to $25.00)
Position Summary
The Fabricator is responsible for assembling, preparing, and finishing aluminum components and products according to specifications and quality standards. This position involves reading work orders, operating fabrication equipment, and ensuring products are completed accurately and safely.
No welding experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and production specifications.
- Measure, cut, drill, punch, and prepare aluminum materials for assembly.
- Assemble aluminum components using hand and power tools.
- Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow all company policies, production procedures, and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Assist with packaging and preparing finished products for shipment when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience is preferred but not required.
- No welding experience or welding certification is required.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing/fabrication facility.
- May require overtime and occasional weekend work based on production demands.
- Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
