We are seeking a full-time HR Coordinator to join our team in Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding Support
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager to develop and post job advertisements
- Schedule interviews, screen candidates, and communicate with applicants
- Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding documentation
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and training schedules
2. Employee Records and HRIS Management
- Maintain and update employee records in both physical and digital formats
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws and company policies
- Manage the HRIS system and provide reports as requested
3. Policy and Compliance Administration
- Support the Senior Manager in the development and implementation of HR policies
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and occupational health and safety regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information
4. Compensation and Benefits Administration
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll and benefits-related inquiries
- Assist in administering benefits programs and supporting payroll processes
- Track attendance, vacation balances, and leave requests
5. Employee Engagement and Communication
- Assist in planning and executing engagement initiatives
- Address employee concerns and escalate as needed
- Draft and distribute internal communications
6. General Administrative Support
- Schedule and organize meetings, training, and HR-related activities
- Prepare and maintain HR-related documentation
- Provide support for projects and process improvements
7. Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Senior Manager to support HR operations
- Stay informed of employment law changes and HR best practices
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Previous experience in an HR support role, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in health and safety.
- Knowledge of British Columbia’s Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
