Home Child Care Provider / Caregiver (Live-In or Live-Out)

About the Position
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and responsible Home Child Care Provider to assist with the care and supervision of our young child in a private household. The successful candidate will provide attentive childcare in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for the child in the employer’s residence.
- Plan and organize age-appropriate activities, games, and outings.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
- Assist with dressing, personal hygiene, and daily routines.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the child.
- Accompany the child to parks, activities, appointments, or school-related events as required.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the child, including tidying play areas, washing children’s laundry, and cleaning up after meals.
- Follow parents’ instructions regarding the child’s routines, health, and development.
- Provide emotional support and positive guidance.
Requirements
- Secondary school completion.
- Previous childcare experience is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Dependable, patient, and trustworthy.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Criminal record check may be required.
Work Setting
- Private family home.
- Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (live-in is not a condition of employment).
Compensation & Benefits
- $22.50 per hour.
- 30 hours per week.
- Paid vacation and vacation pay in accordance with Ontario employment standards.
