Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances to deliver freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of freight handling, and the ability to operate various heavy equipment. A commitment to safety, punctuality, and vehicle maintenance is essential to ensure smooth logistics operations across multiple regions.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or vehicle issues
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with long-haul routes
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for transporting goods
- Skills in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling are a plus
- Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for maintaining vehicle performance during trips
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment used in loading/unloading freight is preferred

Pay: $44,179.51-$153,491.47 per year
