We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, assisting with various construction tasks, and supporting the overall completion of roofing installations and repairs. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their skills in the construction industry.
(Must have a valid working heights certification or be willing to obtain)
Duties
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs using
- appropriate materials and techniques
- Using hand/power tools to perform roofing tasks
- Measure and read blueprints to ensure accurate calculation & placement of materials
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
- Support carpentry tasks related to roofing structures or framing components
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment
Skills
- Proficiency with basic hand tools/power tools commonly used in construction and roofing projects
- Experience with general construction or carpentry work is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various repair tasks
- Strong attention to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents on site
