Company Overview
Wellington Motor Freight is a rapidly expanding transportation company in Canada, recognized as one of the Top 20 Fleets to Drive For in North America. We prioritize respect and support for our team members, reflected in our high retention rates and commitment to quality service.
Build Confidence Into Every Shipment
Wellington Supply Chain is looking for a practical, detail-focused QA Support professional to join our brokerage team. You will work closely with our Quality Manager and Operations team to ensure that the carriers, documentation, training, and processes behind our food-grade and pharmaceutical shipments meet demanding quality and customer standards.
If you enjoy turning requirements into clear processes, asking the right questions during an audit, and helping people understand the 'why' behind quality, this role offers meaningful work and the opportunity to make a visible impact.
What You Will Do
- Conduct supplier and carrier audits and support internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Help maintain compliance with BRCGS, ISO, pharmaceutical, food-grade, and customer-specific requirements.
- Create and update SOPs, compliance procedures, forms, work instructions, and other controlled documents.
- Coordinate employee training, knowledge reviews, and accurate training records.
- Review operational documentation for traceability, sanitation, seal, temperature-control, and chain-of-custody requirements, where applicable.
- Support investigations, root-cause analysis, CAPA follow-up, customer complaints, quality trends, and continuous improvement projects.
- Partner with Operations, Customer Service, carriers, suppliers, and customers to protect product integrity and strengthen our quality culture.
What You Bring
- Hands-on quality or compliance experience with both pharmaceutical and food-grade transportation, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with audits, document control, SOPs, training records, and corrective-action follow-up.
- A practical understanding of product integrity, traceability, sanitation, temperature control, and quality-management systems.
- Strong organization, careful attention to detail, and the judgment to identify and escalate risk.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with employees, carriers, suppliers, customers, and auditors.
- Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Nice to Have
- Education in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Knowledge of BRCGS, ISO 9001 or other relevant ISO standards, HACCP, GMP/GDP, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience in freight brokerage, third-party logistics, transportation, or carrier management.
- Auditor, HACCP, food safety, pharmaceutical/GDP, or quality-management training.
You will join a collaborative transportation team where quality is an operational priority, your expertise is valued, and your work directly supports customer confidence and safe, compliant service.
