Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, dealership experience, and proficiency with hand and power tools. This role involves repairing, restoring, and refinishing vehicle bodies to meet high-quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.
Duties
- Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to execute repairs efficiently
- Sand, paint, and refinish vehicle surfaces to restore original appearance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards
- Document repair procedures and communicate progress to supervisors and customers as needed
Experience
- Dealership experience or prior work in an automotive body shop preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and repairs
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Background in automotive repair or mechanic experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes and safety protocols is a plus
